Everyone wants to walk for longer distances without pain. In fact, walking gives relief from stress. But what if, knee bends while walking? what if, ankle pains severely that it won’t allow to take another step. Here, I share one such yoga pose which helps in giving relief from knee joint pains and also acts as the best healer for knee bending problems.
I discussed several yoga poses for knee joint pains and ankle pains in previous posts. Hope you are practicing it too.
If you want it sequentially, here it is:

And this is the fifth yoga pose to give relief from knee joint pains. In this post, I would like to share second variation of Forward knee bend.
- Sit with legs straight.
- Hold the Kneecap with interlocked fingers, stretch the leg and take a deep inhale. Now bring the knee closer to the chest, exhale.
- Repeat this process for 10 times.
Breathing pattern: Inhale when stretch the leg
Exhale after bringing knee closer to the chest.
Keep your consciousness on knee and do mental counting.
Note: If you feel any discomfort while doing so, lie down for few minutes. Don’t over strain. Do relaxly and peacefully. If you had recent injuries in leg or ankle, avoid this pose. If you had such a pain that is unbearable that you can’t even take a step, in such case consult doctor and take medication. After that practice all these yoga poses.
But if you have a pain in knee or ankle or any leg part that comes in a while and trouble you during the whole day then you should practice all these yoga poses regularly at least for 1 month.
